Formerly St Michael’s Church, this unique project involved the sensitive conversion of a redundant Victorian place of worship into a luxurious and welcoming boutique guest house. Evolve Architectural worked closely with heritage specialists and conservation officers to preserve key architectural features—including original stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and stonework—while introducing modern comforts, bespoke interiors, and en-suite accommodation. The resulting design respects the building’s spiritual past while providing a contemporary, tranquil retreat for guests in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
